Two separate things must both be present within the Life Palace's frame of Life, Wealth, Career and Travel palaces. The first is Lucun, whose seat is fixed by the birth year's heavenly stem. The second is Hua Lu, the year's wealth transformation, riding on whichever star receives it; that carrying star must also stand within the frame. Lucun and Hua Lu arrive by different mechanisms, one by star placement and one by transformation, so their meeting in one chart's frame is a genuine alignment rather than a routine event. When both face the Life Palace, the classical phrase is 雙祿朝垣: double provision attending the hall.
Character and strengths
The pattern's gift is a reliable relationship with resources. Money tends to arrive through more than one channel, and help often appears in practical forms: an introduction, a contract renewed, a debt honoured. People with this frame are frequently good stewards as well as earners, since Lucun's nature is keeping and Hua Lu's is flow, and having both tempers each.
