What the Property Palace governs

This palace answers questions about your base: whether you tend to own or move, what kind of home environment you build and need, how family property and inheritance figure in your life, and the general steadiness of your domestic foundations. Its second classical role is the treasury: where the Wealth Palace (財帛宮) shows money in motion, the Property Palace shows money at rest, savings, assets, what accumulates. Modern practice also reads the workplace-as-premises here, your shop, studio, or office. It does not govern the people in the home, who belong to the family palaces, nor day-to-day income, which is the Wealth Palace's business.

How the Property Palace is read

Stars here describe both the home's character and the treasury's seal. Tian Fu or Tai Yin read as classic accumulators, homes that gather value and calm; Tai Yang as a bright, busy, open-door household; Po Jun or sha stars as frequent moves, renovation, and a treasury that leaks unless actively managed. Brightness shows whether the base steadies you or demands work. Hua Lu (化祿) landing here is classically prized, wealth finding its way into the store. The palace is read with its three harmonies (三方四正), with the Children Palace (子女宮) opposite: household and offspring shaping each other across the axis.

When the Property Palace is empty (借對宮)

An empty Property Palace borrows from the Children Palace (子女宮) opposite. The classical sense is that the home takes its character from the younger generation and from what you nurture: the household organises itself around children, students, or creative projects, and property decisions tend to follow family phases, moving for schools, resizing as children come and go. Borrowed stars read lighter, so the domestic base is flexible rather than fixed, and roots grow where the nurturing is rather than where the deed is. An empty Property Palace is often misread as never owning a home. Classically it says the base follows the family, not that there is no base.

Common misreadings

First, treating the palace as a property-price oracle: it describes your pattern with homes and holdings, not the housing market, and no palace times a purchase by itself. Second, forgetting the treasury role: people study their Wealth Palace and wonder why money never stays, when the leak is written here, in the palace of keeping. Third, sha stars get read as losing the family home, when the classical sense is a restless base, moves, renovations, property requiring active management, common in perfectly prosperous lives. Fourth, renters read the palace as irrelevant; it governs the quality and steadiness of your base whatever the tenure.
